Suspect In Custody Following Fatal Shooting In Maryland, Police Say

A 31-year-old man is facing multiple murder charges following an investigation into a fatal shooting that was reported over the weekend in Prince George’s County.

District Heights resident JC Littlejohn III has been charged with first-degree and second-degree murder for his alleged role in the death of 28-year-old Dante Williams, according to a spokesperson from the Prince George’s County Police Department.

The shooting was reported shortly before noon on Saturday, May 13 in the 6100 block of Blacksmith Drive in District Heights.

Police say that Williams was found outside of a home suffering from a gunshot wound on the day of the shooting. He was rushed to an area hospital and pronounced dead from his injuries later on Saturday afternoon.

According to the preliminary investigation, Littlejohn shot Williams during a reported dispute, and the two were familiar with each other. No other details about the shooting have been reported.

Littlejohn was tracked down and arrested without incident, the department announced on Monday, May 15. He is being held without bond at the county’s Department of Corrections.

The incident remains under investigation.
